Golden Jubilee Celebrations

University of Agriculture Faisalabad is going to celebrate its Golden Jubilee in March 2011 by arranging a series of sensational events throughout the year but one-week mega program “Spring Festival” would be held in from March 13-20, 2010. The Golden Jubilee Celebrations are dedicated to Washington State University Pullman, US. In this regards, a delegation from WSU has confirmed its participation in the week-long jubilations. During the Golden Jubilee Celebrations, UAF intends to organize various national and international seminars, conferences and would hold an Agri. Exhibition, Horse & Cattle Show, Fancy Birds & Pet Show, Alumni Meet, Flowers’ Show, IT Exhibition, Monsanto Job Fair, a Business Plan Competition between the students of Department of Business Management Sciences, a Food Mela, World Water Day, and an International Strategy Seminar on “A performance of UAF since 1961 and a Vision for next 50 years”. During Golden Jubilee Celebrations, a Photo Exhibition comprises of rare photographs of transforming/elevating West Pakistan Agriculture College Lyallpur into University of Agriculture Faisalabad and other mega events would be exhibited.

During week-long activities, every professional society of each Faculty/Institute/Division of UAF will arrange a cultural night throughout the celebrations week. Besides, publishing a detailed book comprising performance of UAF since 1961, the management has desired to commemorate the upcoming issue of Students’ Magazine “Kisth-e-Nau Golden Jubilee Number” to WSU.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan has urged the UAF Faculty, Students and Alumni to give their solid and valuable suggestions there by to mark a new history of UAF successes.
